Resumen
Este artículo pretende analizar la cobertura informativa de la violencia en el diario Milenio-Jalisco, comparando cómo se publicaba sobre ese tema antes y después de la firma del Acuerdo para la Cobertura Informativa de la Violencia. A través de un análisis de contenido se mostrarán qué elementos del Acuerdo se están implementando o no en el diario y lo que representa el mismo para la sociedad respecto a la forma en que los medios deben cubrir la información sobre violencia, en especial la relacionada con el crimen organizado.
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the information on violence in the newspaper Milenio-Jalisco, comparing how it was published before and after the signing of the “Agreement for the coverage of Information on Violence”. Through a content analysis we will illustrate which elements of the Agreement are being applied or not in the newspaper and what it means for our society in respect of how mass media are covering the violence, especially the one related with the organized crime.
